Seattle would be smart, if this is their plan, and even tell Giordano when they take him, and ask for a list of a few teams where hed prefer to go, would be a quick way to build goodwill from the players around the league early
I'm sure he'd rather only move once in a year, rather than having to relocate twice

Flip side is this.
Gio can give them his list, and only list teams that are cap constrained or deep in d, making it unlikely that he will be moved, which would not be ideal for Seattle. Seattle can still take him, but Gio can put screws to them by handcuffing any potential flip. That might be part of the thought process and make Seattle think twice about taking him.
