Just by reading the first few pages of this thread, I am positive that a large majority of Flames fans would not be heartbroken to see Giordano picked up by Seattle.

Yes, he is our captain, who is no doubt a great person and has done some incredible things for Calgary on the ice and within the community. However, this is a hockey team in the NHL where the Flames have won 1 playoff round since the Cup run in 2004. Bringing in Sutter was a good change. Picking up Lindholm and Hannifin were good changes. But I can't think of a genuine polarizing move that Treliving has done for the better that has shifted the state of this team in his time here.

I don't know who I am praying to anymore, but please please please do not sell this teams future for a 38-year-old defenseman regardless of his history with the team and city. Flames fans would be sad for a little bit to see him go, but what hurts even more is being a laughing stock franchise when situations like this happen.

If he gets picked. Fine

If he doesn't. Fine.

Read the room and smell the smoke. Flames fans want change.
