I wonder what it would take to get the Kraken to select Lucic instead of Gio.

Lucic is not a bad player, he's just overpaid by about $2 million or so.

From the Flames perspective of trying to win now, I'm sure they'd much rather lose a depth LW and keep their top 4 D together. That might be worth more to them than whatever it would take to get Seattle to select Looch.

Obviously if the cost is exorbitant then you just let them take Gio.
