If we are intending to expose Gio, have to wonder if Tre will try to trade him to a team he wants to be moved to before the draft. Imagine he wants to stay in the west and if Seattle wants to flip him, they could be more ruthless than us given the lack of attachment. Some incentive from Gio’s end to work a deal out and send him to a destination of his preference, which we would probably be more amendable to doing than Seattle. Keep him close to home, which would suck on one hand by making a rival better but do right by the player and give him a soft landing spot. Arizona LA and Vancouver could use a dman and are close to home.
