Apologies in advance comrade, but the Flames ain't hitting home runs. They're hitting singles and doubles like everyone else, with an odd pop here or there. A home run is a Kucherov level pick, someone who becomes a dominant game-changing player. A triple would be a first line or first pair player, like Gaudreau. A double would be a guy that plays in your middle six or second pair. Singles are guys that are bottom line or bottom pairing players. Johnny Hockey is a triple, but the rest of picks are at best doubles. The best picks for Calgary are Fox (sadly a home run) and Gaudreau (a triple). Too bad the home run happened after he was sent to another team. That really would have helped the Flames. But no, the Flames are not hitting homeruns. The result prove that.
