Then they are conflating two statements, one of which has nothing to do with the Flames, and is just a general statement about Seattle, not about Gio at all. The “high price” stuff is so generic and expected that it’s amazing people even cite it. Of course Seattle’s asking price for deals is high. The offers from other teams are probably low. That’s how negotiations start.
