Agree. And he would do it all again given the chance. The team was one of the top teams for a long long time. They fell short of the goal, but he gave them chance after chance. His deals lately have been less than stellar (Kane, Karlsson), but he has more than his fair share of great trades too (Burns, Thornton, trading up in the draft with conviction to get Couture, recycling Hoffman for some draft picks).
But I don't see any way out of this mess going forward. They are effed for a long long time.
