Right now, the only players who qualify are Gaudreau, Tkachuk, Monahan, Lindholm, Mangiapane, Backlund, and Lucic.

Leivo, Simon, Ryan, and Ritchie all meet the games played requirement but are currently not under contract for next season. If the Flames don't re-sign one of them or acquire a signed forward from another team prior to Saturday, they will be required to expose Lucic and one other qualified player. Of those, Backlund would be the most-likely.

Oh how would we ever find someone to sign for league minimum...

This is a non issue.
