Kane’s from 87 to 75.
Bolland from 39 to 49, there’s a huge exception.
Hossa from 67 to 62.
Brown from 49 to 47.
Sharp from 60 to 53.
Kopitar from 73 to 69.
Carter from 57 to 54.
Richards from 56 to 54.
The morale being, if you want to win the Stanley Cup, you need players who produce close to their regular season averages, which means that even with the closer checking and lesser PP, those players elevate their level of playing and still produce quite well.
Chicago and LA had those type of players. That’s why they won cups.
