I’m seeing some ‘Well Keith isn’t terrible’ sprinkled throughout this thread and while I do agree with that, there is no doubt Keith is able to play a top 4 role in the NHL as of last season his respective team missing the playoffs not withstanding. With all of that said there is an inherent gamble you take with players who are as old as Keith is and has become the gamble being that with each passing season could come that dreaded cliff all players dive off and the gamble is now Edmonton’s for the player in question… which brings me to a much larger question. Why? Why did Edmonton trade for a gamble that is as big as Keith is and at no savings (retention) while dealing from an area they have no business dealing from right now in a young 24 YO 93 NHL games Dman and a mid pick.
Why Edmonton?? Because Mcdavid? Because Lowe? Because Edmonton????? What ever it is I actually ask you to not reveal the secret… you do you Edmonton! And we, well we will continue to overeat popcorn while near dying of laughter.
Edmonton is no good. I’d be absolutely furious right now if I was an Edmonton fan yet there is mercy in this world.
