Semantics as to whether Backlund is a 3C or a 2C but to say anything available at #11 is a highly likely to end up that good is delusion. Svechkov is more likely to not even stick in the league then to develop into a player that good
For starters he doesn’t even project to be a center at the NHL level. He plays more wing right now and even most centers get moved to the wing after they are drafted

So you’re saying that a player projected to be a possible 3rd liner, with the chance to be an effective top-6 player should be in the conversation for first overall? Why isn’t Raty in that conversation then?
