The difference in size and position sure. Plus Monahan scores more goals and is actually far more productive in the playoffs.
But the conclusion I get from this post is that Monahan started his NHL career at a younger age than Arvidsson did.
That has little, if anything, to do with their performance in the past 3 years, which matters a lot more if we're talking about projecting future totals or trade value.
