I'm with you on the outdoor part but I think it's been demonstrated pretty well in other countries that hot weather does very little to stop the spread.
I'm hoping we don't see a large spike in cases but I expect some increase especially after seeing a picture of people with "Stay away from me if you're vaccinated" shirts at the Stampede. The problem with these idiots is they don't just get themselves sick, but others who can't get vaccinated yet.

I think the open restaurants are a much greater risk than anything that is stampede proper. Stampede can be done entirely outdoors. The rodeo looked reasonably spaced and again outside.
If there’s a spike it’s bars and restaurants and in house parties and not stampede proper. People will blame stampede though.
