Agreed, technically not genocides as the reasons for killing are different but large populations of civilians are being killed on a pretty constant basis historically.
Just depends what side of the conflict you are on and how you can justify it. Insurgents being killed in their own county always struck me as odd, yes the Taliban are horrific but did we kill more Taliban or civilians? Or did we just blur the line on requirements to be a terrorist?
