Past actions by nations, like the Canadian murders of First Nations Children should be respected, but to pretend actions which are occurring now and can be halted deserve the same attention as actions committed in the past by different leaders of our nations is insane to me.

To be silent when something horrible could still be stopped from impacting more people, only because we had built our nation on our own disgusting actions and we don't want those discussed, or some how feel our past doesn't allow us to call our actions occurring right now that could be halted is gross

I struggle to think of a time when there wasn't a genocidal situation in the world.
