Yup, you are exactly right - and he said he wants to finish what he left unfinished with this team.
Tweaks to the roster won't cut it. And Flames are too low on talent to add by subtraction.
The only way win now happens is Sutter coaching magic in the off season and training camp. But I am not sure that works anymore on these modern players.
Losing Gio to Seattle is a good catalyst for a rebuild. But I think BT should have got picks for him last year.
I want to see Flames active in the trade market and start addressing the systemic problems with this roster.
