Trade Lucic +3rd +750 000 retained for James Neal.
-Hey guys, we easily won the trade because James Neal is better at hockey (he was not)
-Hey guys, we easily won the trade because Lucic needs to be protected in expansion (he did not)
-Hey guys, we easily won the trade because Neal can be bought out more easily (they did not)
Step 2:
Just chip off a few more assets to get what you had in the first place, an aging overpriced vet with championship pedigree that can't be bought out. With every spin on the merry-go-round, a few bucks fly out of their pocket for a smattering of carnies and onlookers to pick up.
