This is... a trade. Both Kuznetsov and Slavin are 74 overall; however, only Slavin is an RFA at the end of his current deal. Gurianov is a good young player on a very cheap contract.

But: Victor Soderstrom. I view this guy as being a potential elite franchise defenseman. I did all I could to get him involved in this deal and I'm thrilled to have made him an Islander (and to have saved a bit of money along the way).
