The Canes are likely to lose Bean in the expansion draft, but if the Flames were to trade for him, the Flames would be likely to lose Bean in the expansion draft.
Necas and Aho are clearly going nowhere.
The only possibility for both teams would be to strengthen the Canes centre position through Monahan and strengthen the Flames RW position though Trochek/Bokk/Geekie package, and I would probably be ok with that.
