I'm dreading the Drafts. The prospect of losing our captain seems like another wasted opportunity.
If Gio is taken, wouldn't that be a wasted asset? Surley BT could have moved him at the deadline for a pick or two.
For a non playoff team, isn't the ideal exposure list one full of guys that didn't work out (Kylington), or upside down contracts (Lucic)? i.e. no one of real value?
This team has been bad for a while. I think BT should have been more aggressive trading for picks. Knowing Gio would get taken, giving him some say on where he could go an maybe win a cup while getting any picks at all would have been smarter.
Maybe Gio really wants to go to Seattle?
I can see Gio being the Kraken's Engelland. Heart and Soul in the early days.
