The aforementioned Seguin actually had the same surgery twice, both during the offseason. The normal recovery time is about 10 weeks, but it can vary quite a bit, making Kucherov's IR time within the realm of being believable if not for the journalists who saw him playing full contact scrimmages long before the playoffs began.

The normal recovery time I saw was 5 months (or more), which placed his return at May 30. He didn’t play full contact scrimmages until May 4, only a couple weeks before the POs. Kucherov was skating alone in March and with the team in a non-contact jersey in mid-April.
