Nobody should be picking LA to win anything next year let alone be a contender

They are every bit as bad as the Hawks were in 2006-07
Added Toews and Kane and Brian Campbell and Byfuglien to Keith, Havlat, Seabrook and Sharpe
2007-08 40-34-8
2008-09 add Hjalmarson, Ladd, Brouwer, Versteeg, Bolland... beat the Flames in 6 then the Can####s in 6 and lost to Detroit in 5.
The guys that they were adding (expect Kane) were already in the organization drafted in 2003 - 2005 that put out a crappy team in 2007.
Maybe not a contender but pretty good looking as a bubble team in the Pacific.
The Pacific sheds it's reputation as the weak division putting 3 out of 8 into the playoffs. Vegas, Seattle, LA Edmonton Vancouver, Calgary with Ana and SJ as the only weak teams.
