Interesting. I appreciate all the data. Assuming the data is correct because my opinion is worthless, Cole Sillinger doesn’t seem to help his teams regain or possess the puck or with playmaking. However, Sillinger still has a lot of skill. Otherwise, he couldn’t score so much, and I think you can teach an intelligent player with a lot of skill to help the team in the other 2/3rds of the ice. So, I'm okay with the Flames taking Sillinger even if all this data is correct because Wheeler says Sillinger possesses a skill set that is impossible to teach and intelligence to improve his game in teachable areas.
