Most of them begin with "We call upon the federal government to work with the churches and Aboriginal community leaders"

Now I have no idea if the government has been doing this. Are they attempting to work with the church and being met with non-cooperation? Or is there stuff going on the background we don't know? Or is the government doing nothing?
