Keith is a 3rd pairing vet D with leadership and big game experience at this point.
He’s not replacing anyone of note. His offense has dried up and his fancy stats haven’t been good for 3+ years.
That being said, Edmonton was playing Kris Russell and Ethan Bear in their elimination game against the Jets - Keith is an upgrade on both those players.
