Tampa was a great softie team with playoff disappointment. They went and got some a-hole players that made other teams upset .. now they are a great team
I guess that Gallagher and Kadri and Marchand and Tom Wilson, Cernak, are making their respective teams tired of playing too hard.
Lucky that Gio grew out of his making LA play harder by going after Dustin Brown. The Flames got rid of Reghr as he was lighting a fire under Edmonton going after Hemsky.
When John Elway broke in with the Broncos he threw the ball too hard for some of the receivers to handle. They didn't tell Elway to throw softer they got receivers that could hang on to hard throws.

I think you're big mistake is confusing "playing hard" or "being hard to play against" with causing chaos after every whistle.
Nobody is ever going to accuse Mark Giordano of not playing hard. He brings it every night. Plenty of criticism for his play at the start of last year as he appeared to lose a step but that's age.
I hope it's not the case, as I personally love it, but teams do tire of their own #### disturbers.
