I think there is a very legitimate chance he is left exposed. I also think there is a very legitimate chance the Flames surrender an asset so that Seattle doesn’t take him. It will come down to the price and I hope the Flames management and owners are able to make the shrewd move here.

My comparison Gio to iggy is flames fans criticize gms for not trading him but as long as iggy wanted to stay what gm would run him out of town? No chance it was happening even though it was clear the flames needed yo rebuild
Same is going to happen here. Unless Gio says I’m looking to move on there is 0 chance the flames will let Gio go to Seattle in expansion draft. We can keep dreaming it will happen but it won’t. 0 percent chance he is a kraken next year. 0 percent he’s traded unless he wants a trade
