while all true (although some of this is more fluke than luck if that makes sense), there were some arrows the other way (and not just the fact that it was in
). Injuries to Reinprecht, McAmmond, Lydman, Gauthier, later Lombardi, whereas that year (and playoffs) the Lightning were one of the healthiest teams (or fewest games lost to injury) that you could imagine
at least at the time (I haven't tracked it since) I believe the Flames were the first team to outscore their opponents in the finals and lose...not to mention the reffing in game 4...argh!!!
