I’ve only heard of Canada Day cancellations for one year but I’m sure there are (ridiculous) calls for a permanent cancellation. That sort of thing never seems to go away. For example, the call to change the names of sports teams may lessen for a time but it resurrects over and over again. We may see calls every June to permanently cancel Canada Day unless we do meaningful reconciliation.
