Poor Mark Stone has no superstar to neutralize. Vegas is well built to neutralize a top heavy team and win the depth battle against teams less deep than they are.
But Montreal’s 4th line has a Cup winner with a 100 point season under his belt at C and a winger with a Hart, Rocket Richard, and a Cup. And who are being called upon at their age to fulfil 4th line roles, and crushing it. Part of the veteran leadership. Also Toffoli, no slouch. Lots of pedigree
Not to mention the young guys who got some experience last year, the new young speedy skilled kids, and Paul frickin’ Byron. Anderson and Gallagher are both contributing.
Every line is contributing. Pretty much every player.
