In December 2019, we went to Excellence Playa Mujeres (

This was our third resort vacation in Mexico, and it was definitely a step above all other resorts (previously went to Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka'an and the Grand Riviera Princess).
The Excellence resort had the best food, a pretty good beer selection, and amazing service. It didn't feel busy, and was miles ahead of the previous 2 resorts.
Also didn't get hit with Montezuma's Revenge, so that was a plus!
