Monahan had a bad year but he's still a player most teams would like to add but like Backlund, not every team can just add him. Seattle will have the cap space to add most anyone and not have to give back much salary at all if needed. If a team is going to enter a rebuild and wants to trade high priced guys, Seattle will be in the conversation as a trade partner for that reason alone. it is going to be hard to trade players for the next couple of years and when they happen, the return won't likely be what most people expect.
