They don’t need much salary to hit the floor. It’s almost impossible to not hit it. And while I would take him, I think it’s 50-50 at best.
What I wouldn’t do is trade a guy who’s the 48th highest paid centre in the league but is 41st in points - in an off year. Even ignoring his D, that’s a good contract, especially when you consider there are first RFA and ELC contracts in the top 40, so he’s even higher ranked among similar aged players.
