Personal preferences here again but Lucic meant more to this team than Backlund did the last 2 years and to me adds more to the club and its identity moving forward. I get where you are all coming from but I don’t necessarily agree. When trading Backlund and that contract too you almost surely will have to take salary and a similar contract back it’s not like you can just turn around and shed 5 some million for a 4th.
