No one sets their furnace to 24.5 in the winter because they're wearing clothes appropriate for the winter, so it's unnecessary.

24.5C in summer with T shirts and shorts works for us. AC usually kicks in around 9-10AM and shut off at 10PM in recent heatwave. Upstairs with all the bedrooms and bonus room get lots of sun with big windows so it can reach 28-30C easy by mid afternoon.



In winter, 22C is what I set the thermostat at. Everyone has different heat/cold tolerance so set the thermostat at whatever works. I would have to wear winter clothes at 19-21C setting.
