Like real Flames fan, not a single one. The dome was a library and the team was on the verge of moving. Oilers fans were everywhere and outnumbered Flames fans at the Saddledome and around the city.

I think you are simplifying the history here although possibly fair based on your age and peer group at the time
Edmonton and Calgary went through similar (slightly offset) cycles in the early 90s to 00s after having owned the decade of the 80s
the Oilers plummeted first- like they went from relevant to horrible , fast. they were a 60 point team all of a sudden in the early 90s- I lived in Edmonton then -and the rink was empty , was full of Flames fans when Calgary came to town and the team was on verge of moving- that doesn't mean there weren't die hard Oiler fans in Edmonton then- we know this to be true- but they had lost their mojo. young kids were finding new favorite teams. The Flames at this point were still good (it seemed) with solid regular seasons , but playoff failures (sigh) , but they were about to drop off a cliff
by the time the Flames were sucking the Oilers had become this sort of plucky make the playoffs and try and do some damage , always running into the Dallas Stars kind of group so by the late 90s/early 00s they were holding their heads up higher than we were
but at no time were there no real Flames fans in Calgary- hell that's why there are so many old dudes like me on CP!
