Ours was pumping all day. We have the ecobee sensors for upstairs. The main floor is Antarctica, but the top floor is Africa. I've come to accept it. It's just our house and an average HVAC system.
I did get a couple of those vent deflector things to redirect the air to the middle of the room rather than lose it at the windows. We'll see if that helps.

Dude, try closing all your main floor vents so it all rockets upstairs. It'll fix you right up.
