Obviously, Gaudreau and Tkachuk are the two guys who get talked about a lot in terms of what their next contracts will look like. Both those guys need new deals at the conclusion of the 2021–22 season.
Another player who will need an extension is Andrew Mangiapane, who has emerged as a
terrific two-way NHL player for the Flames (and is doing a hell of a job at the Worlds right now). He's entering the final year of a two-year deal paying him at a bargain rate, $2.425 million.
Mangiapane will be 26 when his next contract kicks in. He'll be eligible to sign a new deal on July 28. What do you think it should look like?
