I think you could argue MT took more violent/aggressive strides right before he hits Kassian AND that it is even more blindside then the hit last night - MT is coming from the middle/board side while Scheifele was coming straight downhill at the player.
If Jake Evans just pops right up like Kassian does and probably taunts Scheifele as he just put the icing on the game with the goal is anyone talking about anything other then what a great series this will be?
No excuse for Scheifele - It was a chicken SH## play and he has to be accountable for the result of the action and can't put players in that situation - But looking back on the MT hit... are we being hypocritical ? |
I'd say both are very dirty and the only reason Kassian doesn't end up badly injured is because he's bigger than Tkachuk.
