I've watched it a few times and it doesn't look like a hit to the head, and it certainly wasn't interference... was it charging? He doesn't stride into it but I'm guessing that he was skating pretty hard trying to get back?
EDIT: He definitely does not leave his feet when contact is made. There is no penalty for leaving your feet after contact; that's called physics (I frankly can't believe I have to explain that to anyone who watches hockey enough to post on a hockey fan site).
