Question is, are you planning on blending in or is your goal to look good? You also don't need to go to Brewsters for wing night wearing a blazer and a tie. If you think that's excessive, then it is excessive and that's ok.
With that said, the outfit I posted a page back with the stan smiths, chinos and t shirt, I'd be comfortable wearing that out for wing night. In my opinion, be slightly better dressed than most of the people at an event and you'll stand out in a good way. Don't, however, be the weirdo that shows up to your friend's basement to watch a Flames game dressed like Henrik Lundquist.

I guess looking just fine is more my goal than looking good and maybe there is something nice about blending in. I pluck my eyebrows, trim my nose hair, keep the back of my neck shaved (every second day) and don't wear dirty or stained clothes. Maybe that's as far as I need to go as it's worked for me this long.
You guys definitely have a neat hobby and I can kind of see the appeal and your enthusiasm shows in a way that's fun to follow along with. I'll go back to spectator mode now on this one. Thanks.
