Regulation win is 3 points, OT/SO win is 2 points, OT/SO loss 1 point, so Canada can get to 12 points if they win their last game in regulation.
First tie-breaker is head-to-head games. Canada has already lost to Germany, Latvia and the US, but they have beaten Kazakstan. (I haven't done all the math, but I think Canada has little chance of winning on second or third tie-breakers.)
Since Finland has already guaranteed their playoff spot, they're probably not going to bring their A-game against Canada, so winning that last game is very doable, but they'll need some help. It's also possible that Canada is out tomorrow and the last game is meaningless.

Yeah whichever team wins between Germany and Latvia in regulation will finish ahead of Canada. I guess we'll be cheering for OT. I think it mostly comes down to if Kazakhstan can win in regulation or not.
