Republican politicians yes, republican voters not so much. Most American are centrists. There are Bush, Obama, Trump, Biden voters out there. People vote Republican for a variety of reasons, not to "own the libs". We hear and see the extremes in the media but most Americans don't buy into that. They just want a job, buy a house and raise their kids.

For example, you'd think the vaccine would be an issue. Sure, closing and opening at what rates has been a debate and how much money to give out and to who has been a debate, but everyone except the crazies have gotten the vaccine. There is no debate there.

So the Democrats do need to identify their pet projects and that might pull Republican voters over. The Democrats are and will flip states blue. And failing that, forget the politicians, voters can vote on propositions, like a $15 minimum wage in Florida. Democrats need to get into the weeds. There are so many solvable issues. But instead, people are moving out of blue states.
