Gonna be interesting what they do there...they have an internal cap that they had to blow through this year. Not sure ownership isnt going to purge players moreso than keeping or adding.

I can see your point... Bennett played better than Tkachuk pretty much as soon a he left Calgary. Tkachuk is getting paid 7 M a year (for team protected years) so basically any arbitrator would have to use the 7M x 3 as the low point for Bennett's fair value.
Florida is not going to let one of their top 3 forwards walk for nothing.
In the same line of thinking what will Tkachuk be getting in the UFA market as it must be a pretty sure thing that the Flames won't be giving him a 9M QO.
The non-Flames Bennett would solve a lot of team's problems.
