Hard to say, both teams were disappointments for different reasons.
Oilers had a guy putting up absurd numbers that put him in conversation with all-time greats. And arguably the 2nd best forward in the league as well. All they have to do is build an average roster everywhere else but they haven't done that. There's plenty of adjectives you could use for this - sad, even ridiculous?
Flames on the other hand are just a mediocre team, run by mediocre management that thought they were better than they were after years of middling decisions and asset management.
