Yeah first pitch swinging across the lineup is not great. Seeing more pitches is pretty much a universal strategy for good hitting and for getting into your opponents bullpen. Some guys are definitely more aggressive and like to go after the first pitch but you still have to pick your spots.
It’s perhaps a symptom of young hitters but that is definitely something the club should be working on.
