Oilers! They got to the play-offs and didn't win a single game! They didn't dominate at any time during those games. They had "chances" to score but with the Jets, any of their lines were a threat. All those guys bought in. Only a few can "buy-in" on the Oilers because not everyone gets to play enough to make an impact. Add to that... they had one game where it looked like, finally, they're righting the ship. Nope. Suckered punched! (They never see it coming)

Flames did not make it in but that was becoming more of a reality as the season went on. At least the Flames know they have a lot of work ahead. A lot of people wanted them to tank and not make the play-offs anyway. They can't be more disappointed, can they?

The oilers will be figuring out how they're going to re-sign the same players (same caliber based on available cap) and hope those guys take a discount because next year is guaranteed to be hoisting the cup!
