I don't think that anyone is going to stand up and say that McDavid had an outstanding or even a good season. He had 1 nice goal and three secondary assists. But he's just so sloppy with the puck and un engaged on defense. Its something that he's going to have to figure out if he wants to be called generational. He hasn't been a true standout in the playoffs, he was a ghost against Anaheim a few years back, and he was really kind of a ghost here.

I wouldn't even say that Draisaitl was all that great in this series. Probably the standout for the Oilers was Smith, who really kept them in it with a lot of 5 bell saves in the series. But that winning goal was typical Mike.

McDavid seemed to think they were the better team in this series. Not really, it was at times equal, but I think Winnipeg was the better team and deserved to sweep.

McDavid seems to think that they have to do some small adjustments. But that lack of depth shone through badly especially when you look at the time on ice.

I think this was Edmonton's big chance to go on a run. Wins are going to be tougher to come by and its likely that Barrie, Larsson and RNH aren't back next year and finding replacements in the same dollar value is going to be really hard, and they don't have a lot of exciting things coming up from the farm.
