There’s always a chance it doesn’t work out, or both work out and you a have good extra asset you can move to improve the team.
I don’t really think the Bobrovsky signing was good to begin with, but if you can sign a (maybe former at this point) legit starting goalie for 7 years right after drafting an A goalie prospect, you still do it every day.
