Actually, the Oilers are like that corpse in the middle of the road yelling at everyone about how good it used to be when it wasn't a corpse, and that the reason it's currently a corpse is because of bad luck -- not because of anything logical, like it being dead or something.
The dude standing over it is just trying to explain that nothing it's yelling about matters, because it's just a corpse and it shouldn't even be talking anyway.
